Imperial Star Solar signs cell supply agreement with Suniva
Imperial Star Solarwhich will begin assembling modules from its Texas facility before the end of the year, has announced that it has entered into a multi-year supply agreement with Suniva for American-made solar cells. Market availability of solar panels with Suniva cells will start in the first half of 2025.
“This partnership with Suniva exemplifies Imperial Star Solar’s mission to enable excellence in American solar energy,” said Isabella Xu, CEO of Imperial Star Solar. “By integrating Suniva’s domestically produced solar cells into our modules, we are strengthening a U.S. supply chain that prioritizes quality, control and energy security.”
Suniva recently restarted solar cell production in Georgia. Imperial Star Solar will operate a 2 GW solar panel factory in Tomball, Texas.
